Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough said on Friday that he has heard from his White House sources that chief political strategist Steve Bannon is the person leaking damaging information about President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

While talking about Kushner’s latest problems, Scarborough claims that people who work in the White House said Bannon has been bragging since April that he won’t have to worry about Kushner for too much longer thanks to some bombshell information coming out soon about the president’s son-in-law and Russia.

“Steve Bannon was running around from — according to my sources, bragging to journalists a month and a half ago that he didn’t have to worry about Kushner and he was going to sideline Kushner because of Russia, that he had information on the Russian investigation, and that he was going to sideline Jared Kushner,” Scarborough said.

Although Scarborough didn’t think much about it at the time, he said it wasn’t too long before news about Kushner’s connections to Russia leaked.

“Two days after I heard this, two days, front page New York Times story about the links between Kushner and Russia,” he said. “A coincidence? Absolutely not. Steve Bannon has been leaking, i believe, based on everything that I’ve heard, has been leaking these stories.”
