Fox and Friends Issues Rare Correction on False Comey Memo Story — No Word From Trump

Fox and Companions co-have Steve Doocy conceded Tuesday that the report they did on previous FBI Executive James Comey uncovering ordered data in his reminders was “mixed up.”

After the story publicized on the Monday morning appear, President Donald Trump at that point tweeted, “James Comey released Characterized Data to the media. That is so unlawful!” Be that as it may, as of Tuesday at 8:00 a.m., Trump’s tweet still existed on his page and he has not adjusted the tweet.

Doocy showed up before the morning features to issue the system’s revision.

“Yesterday on this program we aired and tweeted this story saying former FBI director James Comey leaked memos containing top secret information,” he said. “We were mistaken in that. According to the report, half of the memos contain information classified at the secret or confidential, not top-secret. Markings of the documents in which Mr. Comey leaked are, at this point, unclear. Just wanted to straighten that out.”

The system did not apologize to Comey for asserting he did anything unlawful or deceptive nor did Doocy’s kindred Fox and Companions has remark the system’s flub.

Senior White House helper Kellyanne Conway kept running with the data amid her appearance on CNN Monday and inquired as to why CNN wasn’t revealing the story. CNN eventually talked about the mistakes in the story and the report went into disrepair by late Monday evening.
