Watch: CNN Mocks Trump With On-Screen Fact Check

During Monday’s New Day program, CNN’s graphic department pointed out President Donald Trump’s false statement about health insurance companies not being allowed to discriminate against people with preexisting condition in the new Republican bill.

CNN showed a recent clip of the president telling CBS that “preexisting conditions are in the bill,” and while Trump was speaking, an on-screen graphic said that Trump was not telling the truth about the new bill.

“Trump falsely claims preexisting conditions covered in bill,” the graphic said.

“It’s not 100 percent in there,” CNN host Chris Cuomo said. “That’s just the reality right now.”

Cuomo pointed out that if insurance companies will be allowed to charge more for preexisting conditions, less people will be able to afford health care. Republicans promised the their new bill would cover more people than Obama care.
