When compiling a profile on the First Lady’s reading habits, it was revealed that Melania Trump puts a lot of value on how her husband, President Donald Trump, is portrayed in the media and feels that White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is not good for his image.
Politico reports that friends of Melania Trump insist that one thing she and her husband have in common is their love of spending long hours watching cable television.
“She’s very private and she’s very smart. Anyone who thinks she’s a mannequin doesn’t get it,” said former Trump associate Roger Stone who didn’t always see eye to eye with the president. “She has excellent instincts into who is trying to exploit their influence with him.”
Melania shares her husband’s concerns about the White House leaks and the damage it is doing to his presidency. She feels Spicer, who is not very friendly with the press, is one of the major reasons.
“She was really concerned that Spicer was not doing a good job, that they were not proactive in defending the president,” explained a confidante of the president. ”The leaks bother her. She believes a lot of people are more interested in serving themselves than him.”
Many believe that when the president returns from his current overseas visit, there will be a major shake-up of senior staff at the White House, which includes getting rid of senior advisor Steve Bannon, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and on top of that list is Sean Spicer.
