KY Gov. Matt Bevin: “I Have Nine Children. It Breaks My Heart To Think That It Might Be Theirs Blood That Is Needed To Stop Hillary”

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin suggested that a violent uprising may be needed if Hillary Clinton wins the presidency.

During the Values Voters Summit on Friday night, Bevin was awarded the Distinguished Christian Statesman award from the D. James Kennedy Center for his support of anti-equality activist Kim Davis. But it was his speech on Saturday that got the attention of America, when he told the ultraconservative crowd that he feels that the U.S. is at a crossroads.

“We don’t have multiple options,” he warned. “We’re going one way or we’re going the other way, politically, spiritually, morally, economically, from a liberty standpoint. We’re going one way or we’re going the other way.”

Referring to an incident that happened to him in college, he said he confronted a professor for mocking Christianity, something liberal are known to do.

“They try to silence us,” Bevin said. “They try to get us to shut our mouths. They try to embarrass us. Don’t be embarrassed. We were not redeemed to have a spirit of timidity.” He said in an attempt to inspire young people, “Be bold. There’s enough Neville Chamberlains in the world. Be a Winston Churchill…There are quite enough sheep already. Be a shepherd.”

He pointed out to the half million military men and women who died fighting for their rights, which was “purchased at an extraordinary price. America is worth fighting for. America is worth fighting for, ideologically.”

He even suggested that it might come to the shedding of blood if there is no other way.

“I will tell you this: I do think it would be possible, but at what price?” he said. “At what price? The roots of the tree of liberty are watered by what? The blood, of who? The tyrants to be sure, but who else? The patriots.”
