During an interview on Wednesday with ABC’s George Stephanopolous, Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway mimicked some of the Republican presidential nominee’s language and blamed GOP leaders of “pussyfooting around.”
Stephanopolous asked Conway how the former reality star planned on winning the election if he keeps attacking Republicans who distanced themselves from Trump after a 2005 leaked tape has him boasting about how he liked to grab women “by the pussy.”
“It’s going to help him take his message directly to the voters,” Conway claimed. “We’ve been playing very nicely with members of the party. The RNC and us have a wonderful relationship.”
Then Conway sent a message to Republicans who backed out of supporting the GOP nominee.
“We want the support of anybody that’s going to publicly endorse us, but enough of the pussyfooting around in terms of do you support us or do you not support us,” she said. “And the fact is some of these leaders have been very wishy-washy.”
