Kellyanne Conway Claims It’s Inappropriate To Questioning Comey’s Fireing

During an interview on CNN Wednesday morning, host Chris Cuomo had a heated exchange of words with Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, during which she scolded Cuomo for asking about the timing and reason the president decided to terminate FBI Director James Comey’s employment.

While discussing the situation, Cuomo wondered why Trump decided to fire Comey now over the way he handled the Clinton email investigation instead of when he first came into office in January.

“Why is the timing up to you at CNN?” Conway wondered.

“It’s just a question,” Cuomo said.

“If the president had done it in January, you guys would have run the same chyron for three months that he did it in January because he’s got something to hide!” she claimed.

Cuomo also brought up the fact that it took Trump less than two weeks to make a decision on Comey and it took much longer for him to fire former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn after former acting attorney Sally Yates warned them that Flynn was probably compromised by the Russian government.

“It took him two weeks, all right?” Cuomo said. “Why move on it so quickly? Why do it now?”

“Okay, let me ask you the question: Why not?” Conway responded. “Is it too quick for people?”

“Because you’re being investigated by the FBI!” Cuomo said.

Conway even went as far as telling Cuomo that the media has no right to even ask about the timing of Trump’s decisions.

“The President of the United States confers with his team on any number of personnel decisions,” she said. “You want to question the timing of when he hires, when he fires — it’s inappropriate.”
