In another odd twist to the Donald Trump saga, this week he claimed that the only reason he ever insulted women was for the “purpose of entertainment.”

During an interview with KSNV’s Jim Snyder in Las Vegas on Wednesday, the Republican presidential nominee was asked if he understand why it’s hurtful to call women slob, pigs and dogs considering he has two daughters of his own.

“A lot of that was done for the purpose of entertainment, there’s nobody that has more respect for women than I do,” Trump replied.

“Are you trying to tone it down now?” Snyder asked.

“It’s not a question of trying, it’s very easy,” Trump replied.

Last week, after former Miss Universe winner Alicia Machado claimed that Trump used to call her “Miss Piggy” because of the extra weight she gained, the former reality star insulted her weight again during a Fox News interview.
