Kirk Cameron joined Ben Carson earlier this week to discuss the upcoming presidential election and why Christians should vote for Donald Trump. The live “teleforum” was held in Carson’s living room for My Faith Votes, a Religious Right endeavor headed by Carson in an effort to inspire millions of Christians to vote in 2016.

The discussion mainly focused on hesitant conservative Christian voters and urging them to vote for Trump so Hillary Clinton doesn’t get into the White House, and then compared the situation to choosing between getting a paper cut or “having both of your legs cut off.”

“When you don’t vote, you are voting,” Carson said. “I know there are some people who say, ‘Well, you know, I’m a person of principle so I therefore cannot choose between the lesser of two evils.’ Well, I would say, ‘Would you like to have a paper cut?’ And you would say, ‘No, paper cuts hurt, that’s pretty bad.’ I would say, ‘How about getting both of your legs chopped off?’ Well, no, that hurts, that’s bad too. What if you had to choose between the two? I don’t think that would be a hard choice.”

Carson continued to emphasis how important it is for vote for Trump because this election is “about the direction of our nation, and it’s not going to be for four or eight years, it’s going to be for generations because of the way the court system will be changed.”
