As Donald Trump really a “moron,” as Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has reportedly alleged — or is Trump actually smarter than his own top diplomat gives him credit for?
Either way, Mensa would like to find out.
Mensa International, an exclusive organization open only to people whose IQs are at the 98th percentile or higher, tells The Hill that it would issue IQ tests to both men to settle the dispute once and for all.
“American Mensa would be happy to hold a testing session for President Trump and Secretary Tillerson,” said Mensa spokesman Charles Brown.
Brown also said that Trump could potentially qualify for Mensa membership even if he bombed on his Mensa-issued IQ test, so long as he could provide evidence of exceptional test scores on other tests, including the LSAT, GMAT, and the Miller Analogies Test.
“It’s important to note that our admissions test is not the sole way to qualify for Mensa — there are hundreds of other prior-evidence tests that can qualify a member,” he explained. “And the early success of many presidents no doubt exposed them to those types of qualifying avenues.”
