In an interview with Breitbart.com, aspiring 2016 GOP presidential nominee Mike Huckabee went off on President Barack Obama’s proposed deal with Iran, warning, “he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.”
In a wide ranging interview with Breitbart editor-in-chief Alexander Marlow, the former Arkansas governor left no doubt about how he feels about the president and his foreign policies, calling them “feckless,” before dropping the inflammatory bombshell “oven” comment invoking Nazi concentration camps and the “Final Solution.”
“This president’s foreign policy is the most feckless in American history. It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians,” Huckabee said. “By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven. This is the most idiotic thing – the Iran deal. It should be rejected by both Democrats and Republicans in Congress and by the American people. I read the whole deal. We gave away the whole store. It’s got to be stopped.”
Huckabee also noted that he has high favorability numbers with the American public saying, “People don’t vote for someone they don’t like. So I just got a make sure I don’t start doing stuff that make people stop liking me.”
Those favorability numbers haven’t translated to the polls, where he trails surging front runner Donald Trump, ex-Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, current Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Florida senator Marco Rubio and former surgeon Ben Carson in the crowded field of 16 candidates.
