During the press briefing on Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer blamed President Barack Obama’s “weakness” for the recent gas attacks that killed Syrian civilians.
“Today’s chemical attacks in Syria against innocent people including women and children is reprehensible and cannot be ignored by the civilized world,” Spicer told reporters. “These heinous actions by the Bashar al-Assad regime are a consequence of the past administration’s weakness and irresolution.”
Several different reporters asked Spicer if President Donald Trump had some concerns about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s role in the Syrian conflict. Spicer, however, would not answer and instead referred to his previous statement.
